Turf Equipment Technicians Association of the Carolinas

Greetings,

I hope this message finds you all doing well. Now that we have made it through the summer season and moving into fall the grass is slowed down and the weather has cooled which I know we have all been waiting for. I hope that everyone has continued to stay safe and healthy through the season.

I would like to let everyone know, we had our first annual Eric Duncanson TETAC benevolence golf tournament on October 10th at Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford North Carolina. We had a great turnout with 26 teams and a large number of amazing sponsors. At the end of this tournament we had raised $8,000 to be used for our benevolence fund to help technicians in need and in times of loss. We had great weather for golf and an amazing time of fun and fellowship together. I would like to thank the staff of Carolina Trace for the wonderful conditions that the golf course was in, and having everything ready for our tournament. I would like to thank all of the sponsors and players for your support. I would like to thank all the people who helped get this tournament put together, especially Laura Heffner with JRM and Kim Clark from the Carolinas GCSA. Great work to all! We couldn't have done it without you guys.

In conclusion I would like to remind everyone of our yearly conference that we hold in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. It will be November 14th through the 16th at the Horry Georgetown Technical College Grand Strand campus. We will be having our golf tournament on Monday morning, and classes will follow on Tuesday and Wednesday at the college. The trade show will follow our classes each day at the Myrtle Beach Convention center. A link to our conference brochure can be found on our website as well as a link to online registration through the Carolinas GCSA website. Go to www.tetac.net and look for the events page to find the conference information. If you need any other information you can contact us through the website, or call Kim Clark at the Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association. We are looking forward to seeing you all down at the beach. May you all stay healthy and have safe travels. See you soon.
